Donkey Kong is what I drew on my car. The car is very well known in the drifting scene because it is the drift king's car. He started to learn the art of drifting in the mountains of Japan and entered a professional race. On all the turns he drifted them. He started drifting as a profession and created a new type of racing.
DK stands for drift king...however, it could also stand for Donkey Kong / Don't Kare / Don't Know...any many other things.

Frank Hong’s Travel Study Proposal
This paper is for a travel study scholarship. The instruction included why (1page max), all the money issues resolved (1/2 page max), and plans (1/2 page max).
Ever since my family vacation in 1996 I knew and understood that I wanted to become an architect. In short, in my vacation I saw how poor and the hardship that the people in Vietnam had to deal with in a day by day basic. My family over there was considered to be middle class and well off. However their house and public system was nothing compared to America. The roofs were banana tree leafs, no source to fresh water, no sewer system, no storm water management system, the side walk was where you put trash or the river, and the worst part was all the homeless people on the floor laying down on the dirt road ask me a 11 year old boy for money. My proposal is to go back and work in an architect’s firm with my newly earned degree from Morgan State University. I love working. I have three jobs currently. I am a Starbuck’s manager, a junior take off engineer at Contractor’s Precast, and a carpenter on the side. Honesty if I got a job as an architect I would just quit all my jobs and focus on my career. Going back to Vietnam and lending a helping hand would be my dream come true. I still remember as a kid and this one old lady asking me for money. It broke my heart and I said “what can I do? I am just a kid.” She said “I feel that you have a good heart, I hope you come back and save my kids one day.” The simple nature of my proposal is to work at an architect firm in Vietnam. I want to use my experiences and the time to better the people’s lives there.
There are certain days that airfare is very cheap. I intend to travel on Christmas day and save more money. I have checked that leaving from BWI and the price is 1,500 round trip. On a positive note, the rest of my money I intend to convert it and use it all up there. The current exchange rate is 4,500 US Dollar = 94,999,683 Vietnamese Dong 4,500 Vietnamese Dong (VND) = 0.21316 US Dollar (USD). I am almost a millionaire! Lodging I got covered because I have family in the country side and the main city Saigon. Means of travel I got covered because 90% of people there ride motor bikes. I can borrow or even by a new bike for my use when I am there. Meals are cheap. Supplies should be offered by the firm. Thus, I have even less to worry about. The rest of the money that I do not spend I will give to my family and to charity as well.
The flight takes a one a half day if it is a direct, however because I am going the cheaper route, my flight would take two days because of transfers. Getting a job would be very easy because I have a B.S. degree, I can speak English and Vietnamese. However, I would plan ahead and seek architect firms in Vietnam and get hired before I get there. I would take one day off to get the jet lag off and straight to work at an architect’s firm the next day. On the weekends I would try and enjoy myself. I would also love to teach about architecture, computer, math, English, and about life in America to my family. I plan to spend six months because six months is apparently the typically intern period. On the last note, I need to go to the poorer areas and lead a helping hand before I go back home to America.
